At Beyond Code Academy, we’re proud to nurture and celebrate the next generation of young tech innovators. This year, five outstanding projects from our students were recognized at the prestigious Tech Kids Grand Prix ASEAN 2024, showcasing the creativity, skill, and social awareness that our programs inspire. From privacy-focused AI tools to engaging educational apps, these projects highlight the powerful impact that young minds can have on our world.



Student AI Project

1. FaceGuard AI by Brinz


Award: 1st Place Winner (Senior)

Technology Stack: Python, Full-Stack, AI, AWS, Google Cloud

Project Overview: FaceGuard AI is a consent-based privacy tool that leverages facial recognition to automate face detection and blurring. It’s designed to enhance privacy in settings like schools, hospitals, and workplaces by ensuring faces are blurred unless explicit consent is granted. This innovative project exemplifies the importance of privacy and responsible AI use in today’s digital landscape.



Student Python Award Winning Project

Award: 1st Place Winner (Junior)

Technology Stack: Python, Full-Stack, AI, Google Cloud

Project Overview: An interactive, AI-powered learning tool, Prompt Guessing Game helps ESL learners enhance their descriptive writing skills. By using image-based prompts and offering real-time feedback, this tool provides a fun and effective way for students to practice English writing. This project demonstrates the incredible potential of AI to support language learning in an accessible, engaging way.




3. Lahn Mah App by Peyton


Award: Best Vision Award

Technology Stack: Mobile App, Firestore

Project Overview: Inspired by Peyton’s care for his grandmother’s well-being, the Lahn Mah App aims to support seniors by reducing the risk of Alzheimer’s through memory-enhancing activities. The app includes flashcards, a photo gallery, and medication reminders. This project highlights the empathy and foresight that young tech innovators can bring to healthcare and wellness.


4. Dr.AI by Tashi


Award: Top 10 Finalist

Technology Stack: Python, Full-Stack, Mobile App, AI, Google Cloud

Project Overview: Dr.AI is a healthcare tool powered by a Large Language Model, offering symptom-based guidance, visual condition analysis, and tailored advice to reduce hospital wait times. This accessible healthcare solution reflects Tashi’s commitment to solving real-world problems and enhancing healthcare accessibility for all.


Award: Top 30 Finalist

Technology Stack: Mobile App, Firestore

Project Overview: CardCraft makes learning fun and collaborative through customizable flashcards. The app encourages students to study their favorite subjects while sharing knowledge within a community, promoting a love for learning that goes beyond the classroom. Tim’s project is a reminder of how technology can transform education into a social, interactive experience.
