Competitions are a fun and meaningful way for kids to sharpen their coding skills with clear goals in mind—helping them prepare for the future. Along the way, students also develop essential skills like creativity and collaboration as they work with peers and tackle exciting challenges.
We also offer a Mentorship Program for each competition to help students succeed and gain confidence throughout their journey.
Coding Competition for Kids - 2025 (April - June)
MIT Global AI Hackathon 2025
MIT RAISE and App Inventor Foundation Present: Global AI Hackathon 2025Online | Free | Open to All Ages Worldwide
MIT RAISE and the App Inventor Foundation are hosting the Global AI Hackathon 2025, a free online competition open to both kids and adults from around the world. Participants will build AI-powered apps using MIT App Inventor to solve real-world challenges aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
🏆 Winners will be invited to present their projects at MIT in the USA this July 2025—a unique opportunity to build impactful solutions while strengthening coding and innovation skills!
Awards:Winners will be featured in the official press release by MIT RAISE and the App Inventor Foundation, and will be invited to attend the MIT AI & Education Summit in Cambridge, Massachusetts, from July 16–18, 2025, with all expenses covered.
Eligibility: Under 18 years old

International Computing Olympiad
The International Computing Olympiad (ICO) is a global competition that offers students aged 6 to 19 the opportunity to showcase their skills in technology, programming, and problem-solving. For 2025, the theme focuses on climate change, encouraging participants to develop creative solutions to environmental challenges.
The competition is divided into several levels based on age and expertise:
Ages 6–11: Scratch
Ages 11–14: Web Technologies (e.g., Python, JavaScript)
Ages 14–19: Python for Data Analytics
Awards: A total prize pool of $30,000 USD, shared among participants.Eligible Age: 6–19 years old

International Scratch Olympiad
Scratch Olympiad is an international creative programming competition open to students aged 7 and up — as well as adults — across Thailand, who can participate in the Thailand National Qualifying Round. Participants use Scratch or RobboScratch to create their projects.
The competition is divided into various categories based on age and expertise. For example:
“My World” for ages 7–8
“Games” for ages 13–14
Participants can choose the category that fits their age and interests, create and test their project, then submit it for verification and await the competition results.
Awards: Medals and the opportunity to represent Thailand at the international level.
Age Eligibility: 7–18 years old
Beyond Mentorship Program: Available
Past Student Achievements: Students from Beyond Code Academy have represented Thailand and placed in the Top 10 across all categories they entered in both 2023 and 2024.

4. Computational &Algorithmic Thinking (CAT) by Australian Mathematics Trust
Computational and Algorithmic Thinking (CAT) is a competition organized by the Australian Maths Trust, designed to develop problem-solving skills through algorithmic thinking. It is suitable for students from Grade 5 to Grade 12, and no prior programming experience is required.
The competition uses a three-stage task format, encouraging students to informally develop algorithms and apply them to datasets of increasing size or complexity.
Awards: Medals
Eligible Grades: 5–12
